Meet Our Founder
MELISSA ALEXANDER
FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT
Melissa is a seasoned technology leader with over two decades of experience driving business technology transformation across industries in Houston, New York City, and now Boston.
She has led global IT PMOs, built and scaled high-performing Business Technology Partner teams, and guided enterprise-wide digital transformation roadmaps for organizations such as: Foundation Medicine, Vertex Pharmaceuticals, Biogen, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, NYK Lines and Boston Scientific. Her expertise spans PMO leadership, IT strategy, organizational change management, and technology governance.
Melissa holds an MBA in International Business from Tulane University and a BBA in Management Information Systems & Finance from the University of Oklahoma. She is also certified in Agile project management (CSM) and Organizational Change Management (CCMP), with executive education in Technology & AI Strategy from the University of Miami.
Beyond her consulting work, Melissa is a dedicated community leader and entrepreneur. She has served on national and regional non-profit boards, including the Children’s Heart Foundation, Raising a Reader MA, and the Junior League of Boston, where she advocates for children’s literacy, congenital heart defect research, and women’s leadership. She is also the owner and co-owner of several small businesses—including The Rusty Nail Winery (since 2010), The Rusty Nail Emporium, and Wanderlust Properties—which play a key role in rebuilding her hometown by helping small businesses and tourism return to the community following a devastating tornado in 2024. To further this mission, Melissa founded the Red Earth Collaborative, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting local revitalization and small business recovery. She is also the author of the upcoming children’s book series, The Adventures of Lulu LaRue and Her Dinosaur Too, and an intrepid traveler who has explored more than 80 countries in search of new adventures.
